Grace Lynch Accident Dublin: In loving memory of 16-year-old fatally struck by scrambler motorbike in Finglas

DUBLIN, Ireland — The Dublin community is mourning the heartbreaking loss of 16-year-old Grace Lynch, who died after being struck by a scrambler motorbike in Finglas on Sunday.

Grace was crossing Ratoath Rad when the collision occurred, suffering catastrophic injuries. She was rushed to Connolly Hospital in Blanchardstown, where she later passed away.

In the wake of the tragedy, a man suspected of driving the scrambler was arrested by Gardaí.

Grace’s mother, Siobhan Lynch, shared a tribute to her daughter, expressing her heartbreak. “We are devastated. I want justice,” she said. “She was 16. She was a beautiful girl—funny, a great daughter, a sister, a granddaughter, a niece, a cousin, a friend. My baby girl.”

She added, “Myself and her father Martin, sisters Shauna and Brooke, and baby brother Jude will never forget that beautiful smile and the way she had of just being Grace. Watching my baby take her last breath was the most heartbreaking thing any parent should watch. We want justice for our Grace. She didn’t need to die. She was crossing the road. I’m not going to let my baby die in vain. I need some sort of help to get these bikes off the road.”

Grace Lynch’s death has left family, friends, and the Finglas community in deep mourning. Her life, full of promise and joy, was tragically cut short. Loved ones remember her radiant smile, her warmth, and the love she shared with everyone around her.

The community continues to offer support to Grace’s family as the investigation into the crash continues.
